DAY 1 South Africa – Cederberg Mountain RegionWe leave Cape Town this morning so we recommend you arrive at least 1 day pre-tour. If you need help in booking extra nights and airport transfers we can assist with this.
On the way to the Cederberg we visit !Khwa ttu where we enjoy a San guided tour and museum visit. After the tour lunch will be prepared and then we continue to Piketberg for wine tasting at a local wine farm. We arrive at our accommodation and your guides will give you a full briefing on the tour.

DAY 2 Namibia – Gariep (Orange) RiverToday we travel through the Northern Cape and Namaqualand, stopping at the remote town of Springbok for any last requirements. After crossing the Namibian border we check into the lovely chalets overlooking the river that forms the border between South Africa and Namibia.

DAY 3 Gariep (Orange) River – Fish River CanyonThis morning there’s the chance to do an optional canoe trip down the Gariep River or to spend some time relaxing at the camp along the river. After lunch we travel north to the Fish River Canyon and take a scenic hike along the rim in order to gain some perspective as to just how large this natural phenomenon is. Later we return to Ai-Ais to check in to our accommodation and enjoy the hot springs. Included highlight: Hike along the rim of the Fish River Canyon

DAY 4 Namib-Naukluft National ParkThe Namib-Naukluft NP is one of Namibia’s geographic gems and at 50,000km2, is one of the largest parks in Africa. There are massive sand dunes in the Sossusvlei desert area as well as the remarkable landscape. Our lodge is situated just outside the park. Included Highlight: Hike into Sesriem Canyon

DAY 5 Namib-Naukluft National ParkWe have a full day in the Namib-Naukluft National Park that starts with a walk up Dune 45 for an amazing view and photo opportunity. Later we will have the opportunity to be transported into Sossusvlei. In the afternoon there is a short walk into Sesriem Canyon. Included highlight: Sunrise hike up Dune 45

DAY 6 SwakopmundAfter a brief photo stop while crossing the Tropic of Capricorn, we travel onto Namibia’s Atlantic coast and the adventure capital, Swakopmund. Just before we arrive in Swakopmund, we stop at the Walvis bay lagoon en route, where there are often flamingos to be seen. You will be briefed on the many optional activities available here and there is time to explore the town before dinner out at one of the local restaurants. Included highlight: Stop off in Walvis Bay (to view flamingos)

DAY 7 SwakopmundToday is your chance to experience the adrenalin filled atmosphere that Swakopmund offers. Taking a walk around Swakopmund’s shops and having a leisurely lunch is also a great way to spend your day if you are not participating in the many activities available on offer here.

DAY 8 SpitzkoppeLeaving the coast we drive through arid landscapes to Spitzkoppe Mountain. The enormous granite monoliths dominate the otherwise flat landscape and we set up camp in the wild plain at the base of the mountain. This afternoon our guide will take us on a guided walk to explore the unique rock formations. The more adventurous among us may want to try some mountain climbing for some stunning views of the landscape.

DAY 9 Kamanjab - Himba TribeToday we journey towards Kamanjab. Driving through Damaraland, we will spend time with some of the semi-nomadic Himba people. The Himba are a pastoral people and are easily recognisable by their unique style of hair and dress.

DAY 10 Etosha National ParkWe travel south-east to Etosha NP. The open plains allow spectacular elevated game viewing from the truck whilst on game drives. DAY 11 Etosha National ParkEtosha is the venue for some of the most unique game viewing experiences in Africa. We will go on various game drives and spend our evenings at the abundant waterholes for some excellent game photography. Included highlight: Full day game drive in Nomad truck

DAY 15 Okavango DeltaAfter a leisurely breakfast we depart on our boat cruise to Seronga via the winding channels of the Delta. A vehicle transfer sees us arrive at our base for the next two nights, where we settle in and prepare for our afternoon mokoro trip that ends with sundowners overlooking the waterways of the Delta. The evening is spent around the campfire.

DAY 16 Okavango Delta
An early start sees us head off on the crystal clear waters of the Okavango. Water lily beds and palm islands make for the most scenic of experiences. We stop at an island for a nature walk, where we have the possibility of seeing wildlife. After breakfast, we return to camp to relax before heading out onto the water for a sunset cruise.

DAY 17 Kasane
Today we bid farewell to the Delta and head north. After being re-united with our truck, we enter Namibia and travel through the Caprivi Strip, crossing three parks enroute to Chobe National Park. This area is an important migration route from Botswana to Angola for many game species. We arrive in the late afternoon where we will set up camp for the next 2 nights.

This morning you will have the opportunity to participate in a game drive in Chobe and in the afternoon we enjoy a sunset river cruise in the park where elephants, hippo, crocodile, eland and many other creatures abound. Today is all about game-viewing in this wildlife mecca.

On arrival in Victoria Falls town, we have time to plan the next day’s adventure activities before we visit the spectacular Victoria Falls and experience the thundering of the mighty Zambezi.
