  • Day2 - 3
    SEA KAYAK ROVINJ ARCHIPEL & WALK PALUD After breakfast we'll have a short paddling introduction and brief excursion on the water. Today we will enjoy paddling around Rovinj's archipelago which consist of 19 islands, islets and rocks. There, you will also find Banjole Island, the so-called seven-hair island (because of its rare plant covering), which is interesting because of its cave that is in its most part undersea. Aft er heading towards Palud wee will not miss visit to the St. John lighthouse, built in 1853. It is located on the most distant islet of the small archipelago in front of Rovinj. Todays kayak adventure we will end in Palud Cove, In the Palud Cove, located eight kilometerssouthwest of Rovinj, there is the first, and so far, the only 'special ornithological reserve' in Istria. Ornith ologists have recorded here more than 200 bird species. Since hunters are not allowed into the park, there are also a lot of pheasants, partridges and quails here. Various types of wild duck, water-hens, grebes and common snipes, garden warblers, golden orioles, woodpeckers, tawny pipits and shrieks live and nest here continuously. Besides thick authentic forests with beautiful specimens of pubescent and holm oak, the northernpart of the wetlands includes a real rainforest with huge willow trees. Before returning to Rovinj we will stop in one of the best olive oil mill where you will beaquainted with olive oil production and have opportunity to taste one of the best Istrian olive oil.     After breakfast 40 minute drive from Rovinj to Grožnjan where we will start biking on the legendary route of the Parenzana, the former narrow-gauge railway line whichdeeply penetrates into the Istrian peninsula and from Porec to Trieste connects 33 Istrian cities, which today are located on the territory of even three states.Passing through magnificent rolling landscapes and lively Istrian vineyards, once it was named as the railway of the wine. After a pleasant and exciting ride from charming medieval town of Grožnjan to Vižinada we will pass through many tunnels, over old bridges and stop on many fascinating view point.After istrian lunch in local tavern we will depart towards Poreč with its famous the 6th century Euphrasius Basilica.Overnight in Rovinj.   • Day4 - 5
    HIKING AND CAVING PAZIN-BERAM After breakfast transfer to Pazin where we will start with our hiking tour. It goes alongside Kaštel, over the Pazin cave bridge, and after the factory it turns right and goes uphill along the road to Gortan hill. After the Gortan hill one branch of the trail turns left towards Beram, and the other continues the circle along the hill spine towards the Dušani village and returns to Pazin. Continue following a path starting next to St. Mary on Škrilinah church, then it rises mi ldly until the Findrle hill, and finally it takes you to Pazin through Dušani village. After hiking organized visit to a cave. (Some hundred metres beneath the largest and best preserved medieval castle in Istria, the largest Istrian karst river Pazinčica disappears into the crater of this most striking example of karst evolution in Istria and the surrounding area. This cave is an attraction that leaves a strong impression on every visitor - from Dante and Jules Verne to everybody else who has had the chance to see this unique work of natural forces. Rest of the day we will spend in one farm house and learn to cook authentic Istrian dishes. Together we will prepare a 3 course typical istrian meal for dinner.   • Day5 - 6
    After breakfast we head to the Kolovrat range where structures of the third Italian line of defense are densely tossed on both sides of the state border. A special approach to the restoration of these positions was the use of original building materials (wire nets for fortifying slopes, corrugated sheets, slates, etc.) from the time of the First World War.After knowledgeable interduciton of WW1 our guide will be waiting us with bikes and we start to ride them through the Brda region, known as the SlovenianTuscany and wine region. We'll pedal from village to village experiencing the natural and cultural heritage of this region that had a turbulent past, but has an interesting present. Brda is a land of castles, vineyards and small white churches, often situated on the top of the hills overlooking the villages. We'll stop for a winetasting at one of the hospitable local vineyards. Overnight stay in a comfortable boutique hotel in Brda. (B, D) Meals: breakfast, wine tasting, dinner Activity: biking 2-3 hours Transfer: transfers in private minivan, aprox 2 hours driving

    RAFTING OR CANYONING SOČA RIVER We will start our journey early in the morning by heading towards the beautiful alpine world of the Slovene Northwest. After crossing Vršič, Slovenia’s highest mountainpass, a magnificent view of the Julian Alps will open up before us.This is the world of the emerald green Soča River, where we will visit one of its springs. Our main destination for the day, considered by many the most beautiful river in Europe. We will then embark on an adrenaline-filled rafting trip down the wild rapids of the Soča River! Or we will try canyoning. This involves cruising along natural scultpures created over millenia. While canyoning, we will meander over to Sušec and Fratarca, where we will swim in crystal-clear pools, slip through both small and large waterfalls, slide along with toboggans and descend into the canyonswe will head to Kobarid, an idyllic village at the heart of the Julian Alps that is very popular with paragliders.     WALK AROUND LAKE BOHINJ, 8 MILES (13 KM). A day for rest or an easy hike around Lake Bohinj (in the summer months you can swim in its crystal clear waters). We will not miss visit the 70m high Savica waterfall and take a cable car ride up Vogel mountain - 1532 metres high. After lunch drive to Ljubljana where the rest of the day will be spent discovering the old part of this medieval town considered to be the most friendly city in Europe. We will enjoy a special farewell dinner before saying goodnight. (B, D) Meals: breakfast, farewell dinner Activity: walking 2-3 hours Transfer: transfers in private minivan
