This tour covers the best of the best! On this tour we'll be interacting with elephants, touring Kruger Park in search of the BIG 5, visiting the incredible sites along the Panorama Route and then enjoying private game drives and walks at a safari lodge with lion and leopard as your neighbors... Day1 - 2

Meet your guide at the airport and drive through some of the most scenic areas of South Africa on your way to the start of our adventure. You head off to your beautiful overnight accommodation. You check in, drop your bags and then head off for something very special… You drive for 15 minutes to an elephant sanctuary. Witness their intelligence, compassionate nature and the sheer delight when interacting with their human counterparts. The elephant interaction offers you the opportunity to feel their constantly curious trunks, touch their rough skin, exchange trunk greetings and offer tasty treats, while learning about their behaviour and history from the elephant handlers. From here, your guide will drop you back at your gorgeous guesthouse and you'll enjoy an amazing dinner with the crickets and frogs singing and welcoming you to our beautiful country.

Day2 - 3

Up early, you head off 20 minutes down the road to the world renowned Kruger National Park in your own, private open safari vehicle guided by a your professional guide and driver! The park is home to an amazing array of animals from the infamous BIG 5 to chameleons and over 500 species of birds. The south of the park is relatively wet and well-vegetated, and is the best region of the park for white rhino. Two large rivers dominate the area, the Sabie and Crocodile Rivers, and these attract large numbers of game and in turn predators such as lion and leopard. You will spend your time driving through the park, searching for these and other exciting species. After a gorgeous day in one of Africa's premier game reserves, your guide will drop you back at your guesthouse for dinner and no doubt, a lot of conversation about your day!

Day3 - 4

After a sumptuous breakfast, you will make your way down the beautiful ridge and enjoy a tour of a South African gem, The Panorama Route. Your guide will take you through places like God's Window – which is one of the Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve’s most spectacular viewpoints, with astonishing views over South Africa’s Lowveld. From there you will experience waterfalls, Bourkes Luck Potholes which are the result of decades of swirling eddies of water where the Treur River meets the Blyde River as well as the third largest canyon in the world, The Blyde River Canyon. 'I don't think I have enough space on my memory card' is something we hear a lot of at this point and you are only on day 3! From there, you travel through some of the cultural heartland of Greater Kruger and your guide drops you off at your first bush lodge of the trip. Dinner tonight will be enjoyed in a traditional African boma under the watchful eye of a million stars.

Day4 - 5

After a guided bush walk and breakfast you'll be transferred to an animal rehabilitation centre. This is home to many animals that have either been permanently injured or poisoned and cannot be released back into the wild. The centre has won numerous awards and has been featured on National Geographic. After that, you head back to the lodge and enjoy some lunch, a siesta and then embark on an awesome game drive and dinner.

Day5 - 9

Enjoy another guided bush walk and breakfast (just another day in Africa). From there, you are reunited with your guide and driver who will transfer you to Greater Kruger Park. It is a very unique experience to be out in the middle of the African bush with lions calling and leopards leaving their tracks for you to follow. A morning and evening game activity will keep you on the edge of your seat guided by a specialist guide. We do not guarantee the big 5, although all are well represented in the area. Instead, we guarantee you an opportunity to see a variety of animals, both big and small going about their daily lives in a 5 million acre wilderness. It is a chance to really experience nature at her very best without crowds or lots of people as there will only ever be 10 guests at the lodge at any given time, including you.
