Saddleback is a magnificent mountain with genuine values and a gentle soul where you will experience Alpine Skiing and Riding the way it should be. The mountain offers classic New England ski terrain with trails that follows the contours. Snow-covered conifers over most of the mountain create a special feel with rime-frosted trees at the lower elevations and snow ghosts at the upper.

Come breathe the pure mountain air among snow-frosted evergreens. With five lifts to 66 diverse trails and glades, it easy to carve down our classic New England terrain. Come find your “sweet spot” on the gentle slopes: rugged double black diamond trails and glades, or the Freerider Terrain Park.

With more trails per lift capacity, there are less people on each trail, providing a relaxing experience with better snow conditions for all riders. With four miles of gentle trails and slopes located below the base lodge and away from the rest of the mountain, beginners will experience the best beginner terrain in New England. In addition, you can receive one-on-one instruction and group classes are limited to five. For the more experienced riders, a challenge like Kennebago Steeps!, the largest steep skiing and riding facility in the East, awaits.

In addition to skiing and riding, other activities to enjoy on your stay at Saddleback and in the Rangeley area include: health club, xc skiing and snow-shoeing at the Rangeley Lakes Trails Center, dog sled rides, ice skating, day spa, snowmobiling (guides and rentals), movie theater, bowling alley, events, shopping, and 19 restaurants and pubs, some with entertainment, including the Swig 'n Smelt Restaurant & Pub in the base lodge.

  • Day2 - 4
Enjoy three full days in the slopes where you can test your riding skills in different slopes. Casablanca: With 44 acres of inbound ungroomed tree skiing, the double black diamond Casablanca features a challenging experience, with chutes, steeps and tight lines. The South Branch area consists of nearly four miles of beginner trails. Most of the terrain is mild and gently sloped, with nothing intimidating and no crowding from more advanced skiers or riders. The middle mountain consists mostly of intermediate terrain, with a variety of challenging trails including the Grey Ghost. This trail has many head walls, flats and curves, making it one of our most popular trails. Kennebago Steeps! on the upper mountain challenges highly skilled skiers and riders with advanced and expert trails. The most recent additions include Black Beauty, Frost Bite and Family Secret. The superb glades such as Casablanca, Intimidator, Nightmare and Dark Wizard are also in the advanced skiing area. Adventurous skiers can explore the back country woods and hard core tele skiers can compete in the ‘randonee’, a race which combines up hill climbs with downhill tucks across the varied terrain. Once your legs are too sore to continue skiing, or you just had enough for the day, head to one of the inviting restaurant for after skii.
