Everest Panorama Trek, also known as the Everest Valley Trek, is an easy alternative to the full-fledged Everest trekking. For anyone who is craving to explore the grandeur of the Everest region, but does not actually want to put up with the altitudinal hurdles and elongated trekking days, the Everest Panorama Trek is just the diamond of the first water. Of course, the number of days are short, but be assured, you are definitely not going to miss out the fun, adventure and the scenic extravaganza. The petite walking hours and long lunch breaks give us plenty of time to acclimatize properly.

The trip begins with a picturesque flight to Lukla followed by a trek to Phakding on the very day. In the days ahead, we will be navigating Namche Bazaar, the administrative center of Khumbu region. A visit to the mammoth monastery of Tengboche, is going to be memorable, as it is the biggest monastery of Khumbu, and located at the highest elevation (3867m), we attain on this trek. As we pass by the village of Khumjung, a prominent Sherpa settlement, we get a chance to smear the flavor and fragrance of the Sherpa culture all over us. Most part of the trekking route stretches through the Sagarmatha National Park, which is an abode to an extensive range of floras and faunas. You are definitely going to enjoy the easy stroll along the trails with the fascinating backdrop of Khumbu peaks- Lhotse, Thamserku, Ama Dablam, Khumbila and of course, the tallest, the mightiest and the handsomest- the Mount Everest.

Marron Treks organizes both- Camp Treks as well as Tea-house Treks.

Let’s have some breakfast and then we are all set to make our mark on the hub of Khumbu region, the Namche Bazaar. Today, the trail follows the west bank of Dudhkoshi River and then steeply ascends via rocky ridge to Benkar (2710 m). We make our way ahead alongside a river, through the beautiful clusters of rhododendrons, magnolias and giant firs, passing by few settlements. If you are trekking during the early autumn or late spring, the flashy flowers blooming alongside the trails, give you the reminiscence of a walk on the park! We now cross the Kyashar river through a suspension bridge and ascend to the settlement of Monjo (2840m). Advancing further, we enter the Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park arena and pass by the settlement of Jorsale (2830m). The route takes us further up through the forests and bridges and makes yet another steep ascent over Luptse-Nuptse ridge, which offers a fascinating view of the milieu. We have two things on our card today; an excursion to Khumjung village and exploring Namche Bazaar. After an early morning breakfast, we set off on a hike to Khumjung, one of the most prominent Sherpa settlements. We begin with a climb to the Syangboche airstrip towards the Everest View Hotel. Built on a Japanese initiative, this luxury hotel is a vantage point to witness the beauty of the surrounding peaks. Moving ahead, we pass by the village of Khude and finally arrive at Khumjung (3970m), a picturesque settlement hemmed by the mountain chain of Kongde, Thamserku and Khumbila. It’s not just the mountains and Sherpas that make Khumjung visit worthy; there is also a monastery here, which preserves the yeti scalps. We can also go for a quick hike to the Hillary School. Moving ahead, we pass by the settlements of Thasinga and Sansa and then arrive at Kyangjuma, which offers a magnificent mountainous vista of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. We trace our way back to Namche Bazaar, walking along the curvy trail clung to a steep wooded slope. As we make our way through the forest, we might just be lucky enough to spot on the wild lives such as pheasants, mountain goats and even the legendary snow leopards! Walking past Namche, we take a steep descent alongside a Namche Hill and cross the suspension bridges at two different points over the Dudhkoshi River. We walk through the open plains, rhododendron and pine forests and Sherpa villages. Crossing the Dudhkoshi River through suspension bridges at three different points, we push ourselves for the last 45 minutes’ ascent from Chheplung. Yes, we are now at Lukla! Thus, with tired legs but content eyes, our trek eventually winds up. Let’s relax and celebrate this accomplishment with the entire crew members!
